PSM Brown Sugar Bird Brine


Why Brine? Brining makes lean meats, such as turkey, chicken, and pork juicier and more flavorful! How? Meat Science! Not only does the brining solution help prevent moisture loss during cooking but it also perfectly seasons the meat. PSM Brown Sugar Bird Brine is a perfectly balanced blend of kosher salt, brown sugar, and our special blend of herbs and spices!


PSM Brown Sugar Bird Brine is sold in an 12 oz container (enough for 12 pints of brine).

  • In a large pot over high heat, add 24 cups of water and 12 oz. of Bird Brine, and bring to a boil. Turn down the heat after the mixture comes to a rolling boil. Simmer until the mixture completely dissolves. Cool to room temperature and refrigerate overnight.


    Only use the brine when it is cold!  Brine the meat under refrigeration for an appropriate time (see below) and discard the brine after you remove the meat. Pat the meat dry and it is ready to cook, requiring no additional seasoning!



    Whole Chicken - approx. 4 hours

    Chicken Cuts - approx. 3 hrs

    Whole Turkey - approx. 4 days

    Turkey Breasts - approx. 2 days
