Butcher Boot Camp - Spring 2017
Do you, or does someone you know, want to know more about the art of butchering? Check out our Butcher Boot Camp: three 3-hour classes that will teach in-depth, hands-on butchering techniques and skills. With only a few spots available in the course, students will have full attention from the instructors, and will come away with advanced knowledge of this unique art.
For three Saturdays (February 25, March 4 & 11) join Rusty, Asa & special guests at Pine Street Market from 10am - 1pm for hands-on classes, followed by lunch (we cook every week) and great local beer. Each week, take home your hand-made meats - over $100 worth total of pork, beef and lamb -- chops and more.
The first two classes will teach you the breakdown of a whole pork center cut, to create loins, tenderloins, ribs, bacon, chops, sausage and rillettes. We will also work with Riverview Farm to grind the "perfect burger" & how to make a bone broth.
In the third class, students will learn how to break down a whole lamb, create racks, lamb T-bones, and crepinettes.
The Butcher Boot Camp makes a spectacular gift for that person on your list who's impossible to buy for! We will only a few students in this class, so reserve a spot soon. The course is $375/person, paid upon reservation. Classes are held at Pine Street Market. Refunds are not available for missed classes.
